This expansion joint can be directly buried underground and consists of two sets of bellows, two end pipes, a short intermediate pipe, a soil‑separating cover, a water‑blocking bellows, as well as primary and secondary hinge plates. It is primarily used to absorb axial displacement, lateral displacement in any plane, and lateral deflection of pipelines; the hinge structure can withstand the thrust generated by the internal pressure of the bellows.
