Bellows expansion joints, also known as bellows compensators, are precision components. As one of the key components for thermal compensation (axial, lateral, and angular displacement) in modern heated piping networks and equipment, the thermal compensation performance of a compensator is determined by the bellows.
The straight-buried expansion joint achieves free expansion and contraction compensation under the protection of its outer shell and guiding sleeve. Its other performance characteristics are identical to those of conventional bellows expansion joints. The structure of the expansion joint buried underground is reasonably designed, allowing for better and easier thermal insulation.
In the installation of directly buried corrugated expansion joints, a corrugated expansion joint must be installed between the two supports. Due to the simple installation process and excellent free compensation capabilities of directly buried internal-pressure corrugated expansion joints, this method is widely used in practical engineering applications.
